Day 7 shows off the bridal party! While we usually try to go through these shots quickly on wedding day, they are undeniably important. The bridal party is always made up of the couples closest friends and these photos document their support of the bride and groom on the biggest day of their lives. Becky & Ryan of course had one of the best bridal parties we’ve ever met. The maid of honor and the best man especially made sure that everything was taken care of all day. The entire party though was so receptive to our instructions and added to the photos with great expressions. Below is a little taste of what we do on wedding day with the bridal party…

Sunday we had the pleasure of spending the better part of the afternoon with Bri and John. What a great relationship these two have! I don’t think there is ever a boring moment between them and they even kept us laughing the whole time. We found it hilarious also that we both ended up stopping at the same place for an early dinner after the session and enjoyed spending dinner getting to know them a little better. We can’t wait for their November wedding!
Look for 100 images to resume tomorrow!

After a few weeks break we were back in wedding mode this weekend for Justin and Heather’s big day! Its really great coming back after about a month of no weddings, and both Rachel and I had some awesome ideas to try out with our two models for the day. We to say that both Justin and Heather were a pleasure to work with, and really made us feel more like guests than photographers throughout the course of the day. For the end of February, we also had some nice unexpected sunshine in the afternoon, which capped off a really great Saturday. We’ve posted a few more shots than we normally due, mainly because it was a chore picking out a few favorites from among a large number of amazing images! Thanks again guys allowing us to be part of your day!

Today shows our favorite part of a wedding – the time we spend with the bride and groom together.
Some people tend to overlook this part of the day in favor of spending more time with the bridal party or with the families, but this part is the most important to me and Ted. We believe that the photographs should be centered around the bride and groom and their relationship and everything else should come second. When we have a good amount of time, we like to use different scenes to help play up the different parts of the relationship between the couple. Fortunately for us, Becky & Ryan have just about all the sides you can have together and in front of the camera! We were able to easliy capture their playful side, their romance, as well as some stunning intimate moments. Of course, it does help once again to be in this beautiful house where there is no bad background no matter where you look. Below are some of our absolute favorites from the entire wedding – the whole reason we were there!

We’re back today after a couple of days break (mainly due to a wedding this past weekend!) to continue our series of 100 images from Ryan and Becky’s Wedding.
The first couple of shots on the blog today are some of our favorite, and were taken just a few minutes after Ryan and Becky had their first kiss. It was the first time all day that they had a few moments to be alone with each other, and you could really tell all they wanted to do was just hold each other tight.
Following the ceremony we preceded to do some portraits of friends and families gathered for the big day. While formal group shots aren’t something we tend to show a lot of in our portfolio, it is something we capture on each and every wedding we photograph. With the ceremony being outside, we were able to do all the family portraits in front of the main entrance to the house. Being able to do these formals outside is something we love to do, and we try to recommend outdoor formals vs. indoor formals when possible to all of clients wishing to have these taken. While the weather doesn’t always allow for this to happen, doing these portraits outdoors let’s us work with beautiful natural light instead of the dark interiors we often see in indoor cathederals. Also, the effect of being outdoors really seems to put people at ease and makes the way for awesome natural expressions!
Stay tuned tomorrow for part 6…

Day 4 is hitting the blog a little late, but we wanted to build the suspense! (okay, maybe that wasn’t really why but we’ll go with it)
Today spotlights the ceremony. Ryan and Becky’s wedding ceremony was less formal than the typical Catholic ceremony but just as meaningful. I loved the way the officiant used things that Becky and Ryan had said about each other before hand in her message – it was so personal it almost made me cry. I remember when she mentioned that one of Becky’s favorite things about Ryan were his eyes, I looked at Ryan and the eyes the minister had mentioned were glued to Becky looking impossibly happy. I don’t think they ever dropped the each other’s hands the whole time either. We were also thrilled to be shooting the ceremony outside (thanks go to God for giving us a beautiful day) and it gave us the opportunity to get some shots a little closer up and more personal than we are usually able to do. Of course, there are many many more than we have here, but these are our favorites. Enjoy!

Today, is part 3 of our “100 images” highlighting the wedding of Becky & Ryan from this past June.
Today, we show our favorites of Ryan. Ryan was one of the best grooms we’ve seen to date. Not only was he extremely helpful and made sure to be involved with everything on wedding day, but he was also immensely supportive of his bride. Ryan just pure adores Becky and it showed through everything he did that day. I know too that he was dealing with some things that would’ve put a lesser groom in a bad mood, but Ryan never let anyting affect his day or his bride. He was very impressive! Below are just a few of our favorites of Ryan – not only is he the nicest guy, but he was also super-photogenic. Lucky us!

Okay, today is the second day of our 100 images highlighting Becky & Ryan’s wedding from this past summer. Today we decided to focus on Becky (no pun intended).
We already knew what an awesome person Becky was from meeting her originally, but wedding day was an especially wonderful testament to her character. Not only is she incredibly organized and put together, but she handled the entire day with an ease of mind that caused everyone around her to have a great time from beginning to end. I know Becky was a little worried with some of the details earlier in the day, but she never let any of that affect her or cause her to take it out on anyone around her. Here are some of our favorites from the day starring just Becky. The last one was our definite favorite – Becky’s grand entrance to the ceremony through the front door of the house.

Since we’ve entered into one of the slower months of our job, we realize we haven’t had much to put up on our blog to entertain you guys with for awhile. That’s why we’ve decided to highlight one of our favorite weddings from this past summer and post 100 images (10 images a day for 10 days) to show our flow on wedding day and what to expect for those of you who have yet to get married. After little debate, Ted and I chose Becky & Ryan. Not only are they just about one of the coolest couples we have had the pleasure to photograph, but their wedding was so unique and memorable, that they were an easy choice.
For starters, the location was unbelievable. Becky’s aunt owns a gorgeous historical house set on a chunk of land out in Ravenna and this was the location of both the ceremony and reception. I remember when we first pulled up to do Ryan & Becky’s engagement session months earlier – both of our jaws dropped and we immediately started thinking of all the things we were going to be able to do on wedding day. On the day of their wedding, we were not disappointed, and arrived to find the place completely and tastefully decorated in blue and yellow. Since, the house played such a big part in their wedding, we have decided to make the first day of our “100 images” highlight the details of the morning, including shots of the house, some getting ready, and other small details as well.
Keep checking for tomorrow’s post and enjoy!
